APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF APRIL 25, 2009 <br />It was moved by Milligan, seconded by Manninger, and carried unanimously to <br />approve the minutes as presented. <br />4. OLD AND NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Officer Nominees For Coming Year <br />Zimmerman referenced the documentation, and identified the nominees. <br />Doane clarified that nominations remain open, and an election will be held at <br />the June meeting. <br />As there were no objections, it was Commission consensus to accept <br />the nominees for Commission officers for the year 2009-2002 as <br />presented by the Nominating Committee: President, Alberta Fiorita; <br />Vice President, Russell Giovenco; Treasurer, Marie Boscia; <br />Corresponding Secretary, Helen Milligan; and Recording Secretary, <br />vacant. <br />5. OFFICER AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />A. President <br />Doane reported that an Executive Committee meeting was requested by <br />Courant to discuss the °Bingo letter" in the May 1 issue of the Star, and other <br />attendees included Giovenco, Courant, and Fiorita. He said that the <br />committee reviewed the letter, found several discrepancies, and it was <br />suggested that Rosen be given the opportunity to correct his errors through <br />a letter to the Commission and/or the newspaper. <br />Courant said that the Executive Committee suggested that a public letter be <br />sent. Fiorita noted that Rosen was not present to respond, and suggested <br />that further discussion await his return. <br />B. Vice President <br />Giovenco reported that Rosen gave him a letter of apology, and agreed that <br />further discussion be postponed until Rosen's return. <br />IN <br />
