Park Division Report <br />Sorensen reported that March 31 and April 7 are being considered for the <br />skate park dedication, and April 15 - 30 timeframe is being considered for the <br />dog park dedication, and he requested that Board member availability be <br />communicated to staff. <br />He announced that Myrna Aronson, a 25 -year employee, has been <br />hospitalized at Los Robles Hospital in serious condition. <br />In response to Jacobsen's inquiry, Sorensen said that the Capital <br />Improvement Projects update will be presented at the March 22 Board <br />meeting. <br />In response to Jacobsen's concern, Sorensen said that staff is working to <br />keep area oak trees healthy. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Benton reported that over 400 youth attended trie February 24 Thousand <br />Oaks Teen Center High School Concert; Borchard Community Center's <br />Annual Spring Arts and Crafts Festival is scheduled for March 10 and 11; <br />Thousand Oaks Youth Commission Therapeutic Dance is scheduled for <br />March 10 at the Teen Center, and the theme will be "Around the World'; and <br />the Volunteer Recognition Branch is scheduled for March 25 at the Clarion <br />Palm Garden Hotel of Newbury Park. <br />C. Administration Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Ward stated that he attended the February CARPD Legislative Committee <br />meeting in Sacramento, and a summary of relevant legislation will be <br />available at the next Board meeting. He reviewed SB93, S6707, and <br />Proposition 12. He explained that the purpose of SB93 is to exempt <br />
