1. <br />CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />January 18, 2001 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Gibson called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m., and Director Lange led the <br />flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, and Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward, Administrators Benton, Jorgensen, and <br />Sorensen; Recreation Services Managers Lindsey and Wiley; Executive Secretary <br />Ohren, and Administrative Secretary Rodriguez. <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Parks Division and Recreation Division Annual Service Awards <br />Recipients: Brenda Coleman <br />Cecilia Laufenberg <br />Mark Williams <br />Monica Juarez <br />Rhonda Ogden <br />Michael Hawk <br />Teen Services Director <br />Recreation Coordinator <br />Recreation Leader <br />Recreation Leader <br />Computer Input/Publicity Coordinator <br />Acting Grounds Crew Leader <br />Gibson presented the awards to the recipients on behalf of the District and Board. <br />He noted that throughout the year, these individuals have successfully implemented <br />noteworthy park and recreation programs while gaining the respect and trust of <br />fellow employees. <br />Sorensen identified Hawk as Parks and Planning Employee of the Year, and <br />reviewed his professional accomplishments. Hawk thanked the Board for the award, <br />and acknowledged his fellow employees. <br />Benton recognized Coleman, Laufenberg, Juarez, Williams, and Ogden and <br />presented overviews of their professional and academic accomplishments, and <br />thanked them for their efforts. <br />
