January 21, 2021 <br />Page 4 <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />No report. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis reminded Board members that special presentations made to the Board are posted to <br />the CRPD website and are also "pushed out" to the public via social media. She referenced <br />the Wellness Fest Brochure provided the Board members this evening, which includes a <br />photo of Director Huffer. This event was very well attended. "Recreation Highlights", <br />previously provided on the night of the Board meetings, have now become and will remain <br />an official part of the Board agenda packet. The drive-in movie ("Frozen 2") was cancelled <br />due to high winds. The Goebel Adult Community Center is being used as a vaccine clinic; <br />staff there are doing their best to help the County where possible and respond to a deluge of <br />calls and questions. Polling Results received indicating patrons are satisfied with the recent <br />Fall/Winter Program session. The Conejo/Las Virgenes Future Foundation will hold a Senior <br />Congress on Feb 24th <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Smith reported the Union sent a letter to management requesting information to prepare for <br />the upcoming bargaining session. She also made note that a budget calendar was provided <br />Board members last week. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl referred to the Ventura County Recovers website as an update to what is happening <br />re: vaccines and registration for same. The availability is handled week by week. He thanked <br />Callis for the great information presented in "Recreation Highlights", which will now be a <br />formal part of the CRPD Board packets. At the February 4th Board meeting, staff will include <br />a Board report and action item concerning the loan discussed earlier this evening. The March <br />4th Board Meeting is likely to be dedicated to employee awards only; there will likely be no <br />formal business conducted. <br />E. Directors Reports and Follow-up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Huffer and Holt attended a Finance and Audit Committee Meeting. Huffer is one of the <br />organizers of the upcoming tax program, which is likely to be all virtual; clients will send <br />scanned documents for review. Cusworth met with Claudia Bill -de -la Pen"a about the City's <br />goals regarding the homeless population; she will update the Board of Directors at a future <br />meeting. Last weekend, she watched a streaming Comedy Night from home; there were 227 <br />in attendance. The Stagecoach Inn property has a diseased oak tree that needs to be removed; <br />CRPD will provide a replacement. She talked with Barbara Tejada about what's going on at <br />
