December 17, 2020 <br />Page 3 <br />It was moved by Holt and seconded by Huffer to nominate Cusworth <br />2s Vice Chair. It was unanimously agreed upon to close the <br />nominations. The election of Cusworth as Vice Chair was approved by <br />a vote of 5-0. <br />B. Conejo Valley Unified School District and Conejo Recreation and Par <br />District Updated Lease Agreement for Newbury Park and Thousan <br />Oaks High School Pools I <br />Callis provided a brief history of these agreements; staff agreed an update <br />was necessary to bring them current. She outlined the changes, including <br />some clarifications regarding lease termination, pool operations, <br />maintenance costs and capital project costs. Callis noted there were some <br />minor clerical errors in the agreements which have been corrected in the <br />documents presented for signature this evening. These agreements were <br />approved at the CVUSD Board meeting this past Tuesday. Callis thanked <br />Dr. Victor Hayek, Deputy Superintendent, Business Services, at CVUSD, <br />for his assistance in updating these agreements <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve <br />the updated lease agreements with ConeJo Valley Unified School <br />District for the use of the Newbury Park and Thousand Oaks High <br />School Pools. <br />A. Parks Division Reporl <br />Hare reported that last week he and Friedl met with City Staff and the City's <br />Capital Facilities Ad Hoc Committee to discuss restarting the construction <br />projects at the Teen Center and the Goebel Adult Community Center. Staff is <br />working together to bring this issue to the T.O. City Council; the Council would <br />be required to give authorization to go out to bid for the project and also <br />approve a grant agreement for a little over $2.7 million for project funding.
