September 17, 2020 <br />Page 2 <br />Lange thanked everyone for their kind words and memories. <br />Teen Center and Goebel Adult Community Center Update for City of Thousand as <br />Mike McAdam, Goebel Adult Community Center Recreation Coordinator, Julie Spivack, Conejo <br />Senior Volunteer Director, and Sarah Daub, Teen Services Director, provided an overview of the <br />activities held and services provided at their respective Centers. They expressed gratitude for the <br />funding provided by the City of Thousand Oaks, which allows for the continuation of these services <br />that are so important to the community. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />• 1 • <br />Friedl reported if the current trend continues, Ventura County may be able to move up one level, <br />from purple to red, vis a vis the California color coding COVID tracking system. There have been no <br />changes in terms of CRPD facility use since the last report. In partnership with the Chamber of <br />Commerce and local restaurants, there will be a series of "Picnics in the Park" at Conejo Creek North <br />Park during September. Regarding Halloween, the County is advising against trick or treating. The <br />"Reign of Terror Haunted House Retail" will likely not be allowed, although Friedl has requested an <br />appeal to this expected decision. In terms of worker's compensation benefits, if 5% of a worksite <br />tests positive for COVID, the presumption will be that an infected employee has sustained a <br />workplace injury; additionally, employers must notify fellow worksite employees within one business <br />day if an employee tests positive for the virus. <br />
