Parks Division Report <br />Hare plans to bring updated lease agreements with the Conejo Valley Unified School District <br />(CVUSD) for Canada, Waverly and Lynn Oaks Park to the next Board meeting. These same <br />agreements will be brought to the CVUSD Board on June 30th. The Thousand Oaks <br />Preschool restroom work should be completed early next week. Regarding FEMA funds due <br />the District from the Woolsey Fire — some final paperwork is due to receive the final $4365.12-, <br />the total funds recovered (from insurance, CALOES, FEMA) should be approximately <br />$865,000 of $995,000 spent. There will be an onsite kickoff meeting in the near future with <br />the Conejo Community Center consultants to set timelines, etc. Hare will continue to update <br />the Board on its progress. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis referenced Recreation Highlights. Staff is working with local sports groups and <br />independent contractors regarding their ability and desire to run fitness classes or summer <br />camps. Regarding the impact of Covid-1 9 on CRPD staff hours, the trend has been going <br />down since mid-March; an upward trend is expected given more programs are now being <br />offered and more staff is coming back on board. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl welcomed back the three Board members who had been attending meetings via zoom <br />over the last couple of months and thanked Segedie and Buchanan for all their hard work in <br />setting up the meeting, which satisfies all the current health protocols. He also thanked Smith <br />and Callis for all their extra efforts in putting together the budget presented this evening, <br />which will be brought back to the Board for final adoption at the July 2nd meeting. Currently, <br />it does not look like the State budget contemplates taking or borrowing District funds, this is <br />a fluid situation depending on how the economy performs. The State reported an increase <br />of about 12% in homelessness recently; the City of Thousand Oaks is dealing with these <br />issues locally, noticing an increase in the numbers of homeless and encampments. The <br />District is involved as developed park sites and open space is being encroached. <br />E. Directors Reports <br />Huffer reported the CSVP tax program has resumed; it is operated by appointment only and <br />up to 28 people are served per day; health protocols are being followed. He finished the last <br />two of the ten hikes in the Conejo Open Space challenge. Cusworth participated in the drive- <br />
