CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />June 4, 2020 <br />6:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 6:04 pm and Smith led the flag salute. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Cusworth, Holt (via Zoom), Huffer (via Zoom), Lange (via Zoom), Nickles <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare, Smith, IT Manger <br />Segedie, IT Technician Friedrich and Executive Assistant Reynders <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Recreation Division — Connecting with the Community through Unprecedented Times <br />Callis introduced Duerr and Ruwhiu, Recreation Services Managers, who made a presentation <br />sharing the variety of ways the Recreation Division has engaged the community via Essential <br />Programs (Senior Nutrition Program, Safe Passage Lunch Program, Food Share Ventura County, <br />Blood Drives hosted by Community Centers), Community Engagement ("Thousand Oaks Acorn" <br />Ads, Social Media postings, CRPD At Home Campaign, Virtual Rec Center, Online Programming <br />via Zoom and YouTube, Homemade Mask Deliveries, Diversity and Inclusion Video, Distance <br />Learning for Preschool, Online Elementary Music Program, Teen Gift Card Distribution), and Staff <br />Engagement (via contests, scavenger hunts, CRPD Graduation recognition video.) Duerr and <br />Ruwhiu answered Board member's questions and were thanked by Board members for their <br />presentation and for all their hard work bringing the community together during these challenging <br />times. <br />z, 1111illi � <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />A.
