CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />May 21, 2020 <br />6:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />M I N U T E S <br />1 . CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm and Segedie led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Cusworth, Huffer (via Zoom), Lange (via Zoom), Nickles <br />Directors Absent: Holt <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare, Smith, Executive <br />Assistant Reynders and IT Manager Segedie <br />(Holt arrived —via Zoom - 6:04 pm) <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Conejo Senior Volunteer Program (CSVP) <br />Julie Spivack, Director, CSVP, presented information on operations during the COVID 19 <br />emergency. Many volunteers are using their sewing skills to make masks and caps. Over <br />2,000 have been donated so far. The Senior Nutrition Program is now offering "pick-up" <br />lunches and Senior Concerns volunteers are home delivering close to 40 meals a day. <br />The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging (VCAAA) is funding the provision of frozen <br />meals for weekend use. Local eateries are donating meals, as well. Since March 15t", <br />6500 meals have been provided of which 5000 have been hot. Spivack thanked the <br />Board for their support and expressed gratitude to Patty Hamm and the Recreation senior <br />staff . <br />- t was moved by Huffer, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />A.
