RESOLUTION NO. 052120-D <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE <br />CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT GRANT APPLICATION TO <br />VENTURA COUNTY AREA AGENCY ON AGING FOR PROJECT YEARS <br />JULY 13 2020 — JUNE 305 2021 AND JULY 1, 2021 — JUNE 30, 2022 <br />WHEREAS, the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging (VCAAA) receives Older Americans Act <br />funds in order to provide Countywide Senior Nutrition Program services in Ventura County, including the <br />Goebel Adult Community Center, and <br />WHEREAS, in June 2010, The Conejo Recreation and Park District took responsibility for assuring <br />ongoing site operations for the Congregate Meal Site Program from the City of Thousand Oaks; and <br />WHEREAS, On July 16, 2015 the Conejo Recreation and Park District Board authorized the <br />General Manager to execute a vendor agreement with VCAAA; this new agreement still requires an annual <br />grant application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Conejo Recreation and Park District is administering the congregate meal site <br />program in a new capacity and desires to continue the program; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Conejo Recreation and Park District hereby <br />resolves as follows: <br />1. The Board of Directors authorizes the General Manager to submit the grant proposal to renew <br />funds for project years July 1, 2020 June 30, 2021 and July 1, 2021 — June 30, 2022. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of May 2020 by the following vote: <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSTAIN: <br />ABSENT: <br />George Lange, Chair <br />Jim Friedl, General Manager and Secretary of the <br />Board of Directors <br />ATTEST: <br />Aline Reynders <br />
