Project Name: Weed Abatement Services <br />FIRST AMENDMENT TO <br />AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF THOUSAND OAKS, <br />CONEJO RECREATION & PARK DISTRICT, <br />CONEJO OPEN SPACE CONSERVATION AGENCY, <br />CONEJO VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT <br />AND VENCO WESTERN, INC. <br />Contract No. 11409-2017 <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT to the Agreement for General Services entered into <br />between the CITY OF THOUSAND OAKS, a municipal corporation, CONEJO <br />RECREATION & PARK DISTRICT, CONEJO OPEN SPACE CONSERVTION <br />AGENCY, and CONEJO VALLEY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT (hereafter "Agencies") <br />and VENCO WESTERN, INC. ("Service Provider"), entitled Weed Abatement Services <br />and dated March 28, 2017, (herein "Contract") is made this 12th day of May, 2020. <br />RFC;ITAI S <br />A. Section 3 (a) of Contract, currently, and as may have been previously <br />amended, provides for a "not -to -exceed" total payment as consideration to <br />Consultant of $886,002.68 for services generally and briefly described as <br />Weed Abatement Services. <br />B. Section 6 of Contract provides for the term of the agreement to expire <br />on June 30, 2020, with an option to extend the term by one year. <br />C. Section 20 of Contract requires that any amendment, modification, <br />or variation of the terms or tasks of the agreement shall be in writing and <br />approved by all parties. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the undersigned parties to Contract agree to amend Contract <br />as described below: <br />Part 1. The sum of $194,022 is added as compensation to Service Provider under <br />the present Contract, and Section 3 (a) of Contract is hereby amended to read in its <br />entirety as follows: <br />(a) Except for authorized extra services, pursuant to Section 3 (c), the total <br />compensation payable to Service Provider by Agencies for their respective areas, for the <br />services under this agreement, shall not exceed $1,080,024.68 for the initial three-year <br />contract period and one optional one-year extension (herein "not to exceed amount"). <br />Each Agency's respective share of the not -to -exceed amount is delineated on the <br />DPW:600-30\ks\ <br />
