CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />April 2, 2020 <br />6:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />'1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 6:08 pm and Reynders led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Cusworth, Holt (via Zoom), Huffer (via Zoom), Lange (via Zoom), Nickles <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare, Smith and Executive <br />Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Robert Mun"oz Atkinson, Thousand Oaks, would like the District to reopen the Dog Park <br />and expressed concern over the condition of the grass there. <br />It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Huffer, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />amended, i.e., moving Agenda Item 9C ahead of Item 6. <br />9. C. Agreement between the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) <br />And Conejo Recreation and Park District (CRPD) for Joint Use of Facilities <br />Callis introduced Victor Hayek, Deputy Superintendent, Business Services, CVUSD. <br />Callis stated staff from CRPD and CVUSD are looking forward to moving ahead with their <br />longstanding partnership. She provided a brief history of the relationship and noted that it <br />was recently discovered many agreements had become outdated. Hayek and Callis <br />reviewed these agreements and updated them so as to meet the current needs of CRPD <br />and CVUSD. She highlighted the changes presented for adoption this evening. Hayek <br />expressed appreciation for the ongoing relationship between the two Districts. If approved, <br />the Agreement is scheduled to go before the CVUSD Board at their April 7' meeting. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />Agreement between Conejo Recreation & Park District and the Conejo Valley Unified <br />School District regarding Joint Use of Facilities. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A. Approval of Minutes of March 19, 2020 Regular Meeting <br />
