Preliminary Budget Fiscal Year 2020-21 <br />Lewanda reported this item concerns the annual adoption of the preliminary budget, which <br />allows the District to continue into the new Fiscal Year if a new budget is not adopted by <br />June 30th. The information presented this evening contains the same numbers as the <br />adopted budget from last year. The public hearing process will begin at the next Board <br />meeting. <br />It was moved by Cusworth, seconded by Nickles, and carried 5-0 to approve <br />Resolution No. 031920-A, adopting a preliminary budget for fiscal year 2020-2021, and <br />authorize the General Manager to publish the notice of adoption, that it be read in title <br />only and all further readings be waived. <br />B. Updates to Select Job Specifications <br />Lewanda reported that job specifications are reviewed periodically; she highlighted the <br />changes presented this evening and noted that none of them include salary modifications. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 5-0 to approve updated <br />job specifications for the Administrator, Management Services, the Information <br />Technology Analyst and the Registration/Publicity Supervisor positions. <br />C. Updates to Maintenance Worker Job Specification and Additional Position <br />Lewanda reviewed the three updated job specifications and provided information on the <br />necessity for an additional Maintenance Worker 11. The $40,000 appropriation in the <br />equipment reserve fund is necessary so as to provide a truck for the new Maintenance <br />Worker. <br />It was moved by Nickles, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 5-0 to: <br />1. Update job specifications for Maintenance Worker series of positions. <br />2. Add Maintenance Worker 11 position (range 41). <br />3. Appropriate $40,000 in the Equipment Reserve Fund for a truck and accessories. <br />D. Budget Adjustments for Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-20 <br />Lewanda reported adjustments to the budget are usually made once or twice a year to allow <br />for unexpected changes. The adjustments presented this evening include minor capital <br />project adjustments, the addition of extra resources to some projects, and operating transfers <br />to the pension stabilization fund. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 5-0 to approve the <br />proposed FY 2019-20 Budget Adjustments. <br />
