December 5, 2019 <br />Page 5 <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />Hare thanked the Board members for submitting their photo contest judging sheets <br />and provided a packet to the Board with the winning photographs. Kimber Park <br />Playground will open tomorrow. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis referenced Rec Highlights provided to the Board this. The Safe Passage <br />Holiday Party are upcoming, and all Board members are welcome to attend. She <br />announced the hiring of Therapeutics Coordinator Sheryl Jue. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl thanked the Board for their support over the past year. COSCA has a new <br />logo; he will share a link to it with the Board. He attended the California Association <br />of Park and Recreation Indemnity (CAPRI) Board meeting last week; he learned that <br />liability and property insurance rates will be increasing steeply and workers <br />compensation insurance rates should hold steady. Kirk Andre, Safety Analyst from <br />CAPRI, visited CRPD this week to perform a safety inspection. The Revenue <br />Measure Ad Hoc Committee (Huffer and Cusworth) will be part of a panel <br />interviewing three separate consulting firms who have submitted proposals; staff <br />plans to come back to the Board in January or February with recommendations. The <br />singalong in Westlake Village is this Sunday. A Board retreat will likely be held in <br />January or February. There is no need for an executive closed session this evening. <br />E. Directors' Reports & Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Holt, Huffer and Lange attended the Conejo Senior Volunteer Program (CSVP) <br />Luncheon today. Cusworth attended the Stagecoach Inn Board Meeting and the <br />Chumash Museum Board meeting. She shared a flyer, developed with the help of <br />Callis and Harrison, that will be available at all museums (Stagecoach Inn, Chumash <br />Museum and McCrea Ranch Visitors Center) and will be sent to their memberships <br />illustrating the collaboration between the three museums and their publicizing <br />seasonal events. Although she was not able to attend, she learned that 190 people <br />attended the McCrea Ranch Open House and $800 was raised in donations. <br />Cusworth attended the Safe Passages event on Tuesday. Huffer, Lange and Nickles <br />attended the State of the City Luncheon last Tuesday afternoon and Cusworth, <br />Huffer, Lange and Nickles attended the City Council Reorganization meeting that <br />evening. Nickles attended the McCrea Ranch Open House. <br />
