CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />December 5, 2019 <br />6:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Huffer called the meeting to order at 6:03 pm and Cusworth led the flag salute. <br />REEMETMIRTIF11111 <br />Directors Present: Cusworth, Holt, Huffer, Lange, Nickles <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare and Lewanda and <br />Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Sports Department — Reservations/Field Allocation <br />Dana Miller, Sports Recreation Supervisor, introduced her staff and made a presentation <br />on the Field Allocation process. District staff works with 31 sports organizations; Miller <br />shared the challenges faced with allocating fields to so many groups. CRPD fields are <br />near capacity. The process includes disseminating packets to the organizations, <br />reviewing the applications submitted, and making various adjustments before allocations <br />are finalized. She shared the results of one allocation period and what makes it work, <br />including support from the Parks Division, Field Directors and volunteers. Miller answered <br />Board Member's questions and was thanked for her informative presentation. <br />The Year in Review <br />Friedl reviewed the District's accomplishments over the past year and the past decade and <br />shared some notable differences between 2010 and 2019 including the CRPD budget, <br />personnel additions, employee data and facility and park additions. He ended his presentation <br />with a video of the Healing Garden at Conejo Creek North Park. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />
