Gratitude Circle — Board Nominations for 2020 <br />Friedl reported this is the time to ask for nominees for the 2020 Gratitude Circle. <br />Submissions are due no later than January 16th <br />9. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Thousand Oaks Rotary Club Chili Cook -Off and Craft Brew Festival — <br />2020 Annual Agreement and Permit Conditions, Conejo Creek Park <br />Hare reported there are not many changes from the 2019 agreement. The Rotary <br />Club raised over $60K last year. He introduced Marissa Buss, Chair of the Chili Cook <br />Off; she reported the event will not be larger next year, but it will be better and have <br />added value. Attendance is expected to be about 4,000 people. <br />Hare noted that there will be a change in each of the agreements submitted for <br />approval this evening: under "Permits," Item #5, after the word "City," the following <br />will be added, `which includes, but is not limited to, a safety and security plan <br />reviewed and approved by the Thousand Oaks Police Department," <br />It was moved by Nickles, seconded by Lange, and carried " to: <br />1. Determine that Thousand Oaks Rotary Club Chili Cook -Off and Craft <br />Brew Festival (CHILI COOK -OFF) for 2020 is categorically exempt from <br />the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). <br />2. Authorize General Manager to execute the CHILI COOK -OFF Agreement <br />for 2020. <br />B. Conejo Valley Days — 2020 Annual Agreement and Permit Conditions, <br />Conejo Creek Park <br />Hare reported the current agreement is very similar to last year's agreement. In <br />2019, over $24,000 was donated to over 29 local non -profits. Frank Akrey, Chair of <br />the event, expressed gratitude to the District for assistance with the event over the <br />years. He gave a brief history of Conejo Valley Days and provided an overview of <br />
