CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />November 21, 2019 <br />7:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Huffer called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm and Cusworth led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Cusworth, Holt, Huffer. Lange, Nickles <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare and Lewanda and <br />Executive Assistant Reynders <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Dos Vientos Community Center — Afterschool Programming <br />Rick Tanaka, Recreation Supervisor, and Tamara Tornero, Recreation Coordinator, from <br />Dos Vientos Community Center (DVC), presented details about the Afterschool Recreation <br />programs administered through DVC and offered at Sycamore Canyon School and <br />Westlake Elementary School. A wide variety of programs are available and include sports, <br />crafts and more. These programs are offered in partnership with the Conejo Valley Unified <br />School District (CVUSD); teaming up with CVUSD provides great benefits to the community <br />and enriches programming for the children served. Both campuses run programs four days <br />a week. Regarding enrollment, the fall season served 163 students at Sycamore Canyon <br />and 157 students at Westlake Elementary. Board members' questions were answered and <br />Tanaka and Tornero were thanked for their informative presentation. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />6. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A.
