Holt, Director <br />Nellie Cusworth, Director <br />Doug Nickles, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Sheryl Lewanda, Administrator, Management Servi s <br />SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Employment Agreement Dated May 22, 2014 with the <br />District's General Manager <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve and adopt "Amendment 3" to the Employment Agreement Between Conejo Recreation and Park <br />District and General Manager dated May 22, 2014, adjusting annual base salary by 5% from $213,470 <br />to $224,141. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On May 22, 2014, the Board of Directors approved an updated employment agreement with the General <br />Manager. On February 4, 2016, the Board of Directors approved "Amendment 1 % to the benefits portion <br />of the agreement by increasing the District's contribution to the General Manager's 457 deferred <br />compensation plan. <br />On January 4, 2018, the Board of Directors approved "Amendment 2" increasing the annual base salary <br />by 5% to $213,470. <br />The attached proposed "Amendment 3", dated December 5, 2019, adjusts the General Manager's annual <br />salary by 5% effective with the pay period beginning December 21, 2019. This is comparable to the <br />2.5%12.5% adjustments provided to other ConejoRPD employees for FY 2019120 and 2020121 assuming <br />no further adjustments are made to GM compensation prior to July, 2021. This action changes the GM's <br />annual base salary to $224,141. <br />The General Manager Employment Agreement, along with the two amendments and a benefits summary <br />table, are attached and are maintained on the District's website on the Human Resources page at: <br />http://www.crpd.ora/about us/human resources/default.asp. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN COMPLIANCE <br />5.0 Organization.
