Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported that the first community meeting regarding the Conejo Community <br />ParktCenter Assessment Project will take place on Saturday, October 19. There will <br />be four community meetings over the next couple of weeks, each with the same <br />format. The Board is welcome to attend the meetings. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis referenced Recreation Highlights; she asked the Board members to mark their <br />calendars for the of CSVP's Volunteer Recognition Luncheon on December 5 from <br />Noon -2:00 PM at the North Ranch Country Club. The Goebel Adult Community <br />Center is having a Halloween Party on October 31 with lunch, music, and a costume <br />contest. There will be a Veterans Day Breakfast and USO Show on Monday, <br />November 11 at 9:00 AM. She reported that there was a successful Great ShakeOut <br />earthquake drill on October 17, in which all of the facilities participated. They used a <br />new system wherein they utilized an app called Teams. She announced that the new <br />Recreation Guide is smaller as she and Kathie Harrison were able to eliminate eight <br />pages, saving $7,000 in printing costs. Holt announced that there will be a Veterans <br />Day ceremony at Conejo Creek North Park on November 11 at 11:00 AM. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda was absent; Segedie announced that the I.T. Department is constantly <br />looking for ways to make sure that data is backed up and to deploy technology to <br />staff to assist them not only in their daily work but also in the event of an emergency. <br />Using the Teams app in the recent earthquake drill is one example. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl discussed upcoming retirements. From CRPD, Lori Olbrich is retiring at the <br />end of the year and Sheryl Lewanda is retiring in March. At the City, Jay Spurgin and <br />Barry McComb are retiring in March. Jill Lederer from the Chamber and Chris <br />Kimball, CLU President, are also retiring. The City's General Plan is underway and <br />the Downtown Master Plan is going to be presented to the City Council on November <br />5. He referenced the email sent to the Board with the comments from the pickleball <br />and tennis people, and also the information sent to them regarding engineered wood <br />fiber. Friedl discussed the recent legislation regarding the reduction of Quimby fees <br />on ADU's. <br />
