Recognize grant revenue in the amount of $300,000 and appropriate to Alex Fiore <br />Teen Center Expansion and Renovation and Goebel Adult Community Center <br />Renovation Project (Account 13-802-861-81005-000). <br />7. Authorize General Manager to enter into a contract with RRM Design Group <br />(RRM) in the total amount of $245,000 ($221,120 plus $23,880 contingency) to <br />prepare landscape architectural and architectural schematic, design <br />development, and construction drawings and cost estimate for Alex Fiore Teen <br />Center Expansion and Renovation and Goebel Adult Community Renovation <br />Project. <br />C. Transfer to and Invest $6.0 Million of Pension Rate Stabilization Reserves in <br />the PARS Post -Employment Benefits Trust <br />Lewanda stated this recommendation is the next step in the District's multi-year <br />process focusing on unfunded liabilities. On June 7, 2018, the Board authorized <br />transfer of $4.0 million to the Amended and Restated Pension 401(a) trust at PARS <br />for the part-time pension and retiree stipend liabilities. On November 1, 2018, the <br />Board authorized transfer of $4.5 million to the PARS Post -Employment Benefits Trust <br />for Other Post -Employment Benefits (OPER). This left $8 million in the District <br />treasury for Pension Rate Stabilization. Of the options available, Lewanda explained <br />the reasons why staff, in conjunction with the Finance and Audit Committee, <br />recommends the transfer of $6.0 million into the PARS Post -Employment Benefits <br />Trust. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Cusworth, and carried 4-0 to Transfer to and <br />Invest $6.0 Million of Pension Rate Stabilization Reserves in the PARS Post - <br />Employment Benefits Trust <br />10.
