Due to Ruwhiu's <br />promotion, there is currently an opening for a Recreation Supervisor at Thousand <br />Oaks Community Center; there is an internal job posting open that will close by the <br />end of May. Staff is working on summer registration; the numbers are slightly behind <br />last year's but are expected to pick up. The new CRPD website is near completion; <br />it should be ready to go live in early July. Work continues on the new reservations <br />system. A "Principal's Luncheon" was held recently, which included a 30 -minute <br />presentation on District programs and District/School collaborations. Pete Martinez, <br />Youth Outreach Worker, will be attending the "Unity Awards" in Minneapolis to <br />accept, on behalf of him and his staff, the "Faces of Change" award, which is <br />sponsored by the PACER'S National Bullying Prevention Center. The Clear Comfort <br />filtration system has been installed at the CLU pool; testing since the installation has <br />shown great results. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported her staff is currently prepping for the upcoming audit, which will <br />begin the week of June 31d. Her staff are also gearing up to test the annual financial <br />system update with a plan to launch before June 17th. Labor negotiations are <br />ongoing. Huffer expressed thanks to Segedie and his staff for their work on delivering <br />high speed internet to Conejo Creek South. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported on last week's Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency (COSCA) <br />Board Meeting; all the COSCA Rangers attended and introduced themselves to the <br />Board. Monday's Gratitude Circle ceremony went very smoothly; the Board's <br />participation was greatly appreciated. The Finance and Audit Committee met this <br />week; the outcome of their work will be part of a Pension and Stabilization Reserve <br />item to be brought to the Board on June 6th. Next week, Friedl will be attending the <br />California Special District Association's (CSDA) Legislative Days in Sacramento and <br />the Califomia Association of Park and Recreation Indemnity (CAPRI) Board meeting <br />and California Association of Recreation and Park Districts (CARPD) Annual <br />Conference in South Lake Tahoe; Hare will be acting General Manger during his <br />absence. Friedl will be presenting at the CARPD Conference (along with the General <br />Manager from the Paradise Park District) regarding the lessons learned from the <br />Borderline shooting and Woolsey/Hill fires. There will be no need for an Executive <br />Closed Session this evening. <br />E. Directors' Reports & Follow -Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br />Holt, Nickles and Huffer attended the Arts Council's 50th Anniversary Celebration at <br />Hillcrest Center. Holt recently attended a Conejo Coalition for Youth and Families <br />meeting. Holt, Huffer, Lange and Cusworth attended the Play Conejo Fun Friday <br />
