General Manager’s Report <br /> <br /> Friedl referenced the Board field trip; the Board agreed on Monday, March 25th at around <br />4:00 p.m. as a tentative date. The California Special Districts Association has called for Board <br />nominations. CRPD has two tables at the recognition gala for Tim Hagel on March 1st. The <br />budget process has begun. Union labor contract negotiations will begin soon. He thanked <br />Tom for his work with the North Ranch neighborhood representatives. <br /> <br />E. Directors’ Reports & Follow-Up Reports on Meetings/Conferences Attended <br /> <br />Lange participated in the Safe Passage program at CLU. He attended a special MRCA <br />regarding fire damage to Ramirez Canyon; SCE performed emergency electrical repairs to <br />get it up and running. Nickles reported that he attended a COSCA Board meeting on <br />February 13th. Nickles also participated in the Safe Passage program on February 15th. He <br />was impressed with the organization, the District staff, and law enforcement staff. The kids <br />had a blast with all the games and activities. He was also able to have a worthwhile <br />discussion with Jason from Sports Academy. Cusworth enjoyed the History Comes Alive <br />program at Goebel Adult Community Center. She attended a great meeting with the Directors <br />at the Chumash Museum. Holt will be attending the Finance committee meeting on Tuesday, <br />February 26, and the Conejo Coalition for Youth and Families. Huffer attended the Ride On <br />Trail Fest in Moorpark, the COSCA Board meeting, and the Safe Passage program at CLU. <br />He was also in Tucson recently and checked out their dog park, which is larger than ours <br />and has no grass. He will be attending the Mardi Gras Ball. Huffer and Cusworth noted that <br />there are efforts to rebuild the Paramount Ranch and the Chumash Village; parks staff has <br />been doing a lot of the work at Chumash.
