Envicon Corp., the environmental consultant for Conejo Creek West, is putting <br />together the Mitigated Negative Declaration. The original contract price with Envicon was <br />under the general manager's authority limit of $30,000; due to a tree report required by the <br />City of Thousand Oaks, that amount has been increased to slightly over $30,000. <br />7. Update Policies on Performance of Compensable Duties and Expense <br />Reimbursement Policies <br />Friedl reported these policies directly affect the Board members and their operations; they <br />were both last addressed over a decade ago. The resolution and policy regarding board <br />compensation is being recommended due to a new state law (AB 2329) which enables <br />special districts to increase the number of compensable meetings and activities which <br />constitute official duties from a minimum of five per month to six per month. This policy is <br />believed to be in the District's best interest as it enables and encourages active engagement <br />in the community. This policy will be brought back to the Board annually for review. The <br />Board of Directors expense reimbursement policy is essentially unchanged from the previous <br />policy; a section has been added clarifying the submission of semiannual mileage logs when <br />seeking reimbursement for out of district travel. <br />It was moved by Lange, seconded by Holt, and carried 5-0 to: <br />1.
