Mid-morning - TOCommunity Center transferred about 12 remaining people (via CRPD van) to
Senlor/Teen Center and closed TOCommunity Center as an evacuation shelter. (TOCC
remained open to the public).
As of now:
CCSouth continues to serve as the main Fire Camp to fight Woolsey Fire.
Teen, Goebel, and Borchard are open as evacuation centers.
Over next 24-48 hours, if fire conditions stabilize and improve, there will be an effort to
consolidate GACC evacuees into Teen Center.
Damage assessment to CRPD-owned facilities and properties is underway. Many acres of
natural open space has burned. (There are preliminary reports of some fire impacts to
Peppertree Playfields, Lang Ranch Neighborhood Park and Chumash Interpretive Center). The
Oakbrook Service Yard had a close call but appears ok at this time.
Recreation Programming is canceled for the remainder of today and tomorrow (Saturday 11110.)
We will continue to have extra staffing at Goebel and Teen Center while they serve as shelters.
Over the past 48 hours, I have been hearing (and witnessing) many amazing stories and deeds
by the general public, generous community volunteers, public safety and city officials and from
the CRPD staff all taking care of each other. This has easily been the toughest 48 hours in my
25 years of public service, but it has also revealed the essential character of Thousand Oaks as
place full of generous, loving, strong & resilient people.
Jim
From: Matt Kouba <mkouba a@crpd.org>
Sent: Friday, November 9, 2018 4:16 PM
Subject: Re: Grounds and Rangers The next 72 hours
I know this is a bit confusing but everything is covered ccs does not take much so we are good.
The truck folks will be evaluating the parks.
For Teen/Gobel and CCS
Contact Supervisors Bob Nunes 805-402-7319
Patrick Belavic 562-505-4940
Joe Tomero 805-402-9014
Friday - Marc Gann till 3 a.m.
Saturday Albert Burboa - 3a.m. - 3 p.m.
Noah 9a.m. - 9 p.m.
Marc Gann 8 p.m. - 8 a.m.
Custodians Jesse and James 6 a.m. - 6p.m.
Sun Marcus 6 a.m. - 6p.m.
Exhibit 2 — Fires Page 4
