(EXHIBIT 1)
During the fire, the Conejo Recreation and Park District supported the City of Thousand Oaks and
regional efforts by providing evacuation shelters for multiple days at the Borchard Community
Center, Alex Fiore Teen Center, Goebel Adult Community Center, and Thousand Oaks
Community Center; and providing a centralized Fire Camp for the Woolsey Fire at Conejo Creek
South. Additionally, staff provided hundreds of hours of support manning and maintaining the
evacuation shelters, supporting the Fire Camp, closing open space, as well as mitigation and
preventative measures during the event.
District leadership provided regular and frequent updates via email regarding the ongoing District
efforts.
