DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />No report. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis thanked her Recreation team for going at)ove and beyond over the last week. James <br />Foster is the new the Administrative Assistant for the Recreation Division. Almost all the <br />recreation centers have reopened. Due to local schools closing until after the Thanksgiving <br />holiday, Thousand Oaks Center is offering a kids camp; over 55 children have enrolled. The <br />District is receiving multiple requests for park space to hold fundraisers and events related to <br />the Borderline shooting and Fires; staff is trying to accommodate as best as possible. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl clarified the District's position on how rental fees will be handled for those wanting to <br />use facilities relative to the recent shooting and fire tragedies. An "open/come to my event" <br />approach is being discouraged due to crowd management issues. The plan is to waive all <br />the fees through the end of year for any rental of facilities rented for the purpose of recognition <br />involving the Borderline 12 or fire recovery efforts.
