Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported the Board members received their photo contest packages this evening; 77 <br />photos were submitted for three categories. He asked that the tally sheets be returned no <br />later than November 15th. The grant application for Conejo Creek Southwest was not <br />approved; a re-application will be submitted in early 2019. This Saturday, November 31', is <br />the McCrea Ranch Bunkhouse Ribbon Cutting. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis referenced Recreation Highlights. The Haunted Trails had a great attendance last <br />weekend_ The Therapeutics Unit recently held a Halloween Dance with a little over 70 <br />attendees. There is a new ParentlChild Skateboard program to be held at Borchard <br />Community Center. Thousand Oaks Community Center is holding a Karate Tournament. <br />Sports Supervisor Dana Miller will be honored by the Southern California Municipal Athletic <br />Federation (SCMAF) with a 2018 Appreciation for Outstanding Service Award on Friday, <br />November 16th. The last day of Reign of Terror is this Saturday with a "lights on" tour. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl referred to the Claims and Liability Report given to Board members this evening and <br />thanked Parks employees Andrew Mooney and Patrick Belavic for the diligent research they <br />performed that led to a win in small claims court recently. Friedl will be attending a CAPRI <br />Board of Directors meeting next Monday and Tuesday; Hare will be acting GM during his <br />absence. Next Thursday, Friedl and the Administrators will participate in an all -day retreat <br />doing pre -strategic planning preparation. On November 9th, Friedl will be traveling to <br />England/Scotland for ten days; Hare will be acting General Manager during that time. <br />Director Gibson will be honored at the November 15th Board meeting with a reception at 6:00 <br />
