Budget Performance Report - September 2018 <br />11. DEPARTMENT REPORTS <br />A. Parks Division Report <br />No report. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis referenced Recreation Highlights. There are many upcoming District activities <br />associated with Halloween including the "Haunted Trails" at Thousand Oaks <br />Community Center, The "Reign of Terror" at the Janss Marketplace has been very <br />popular thus far. A group from the Safe Passages Program recently visited the <br />Thousand Oaks Library. " Duckfest," a play for children written and directed by former <br />employee Victoria Sayeg, is currently showing at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts. <br />The first "Intro to Pump Track Bike Riding" class at Sapwi Trails Community Park is <br />full. On October 13th, there was a free event, "Take a Kid Mountain Bike Day," at <br />Dos Vientos Community Center; five families registered. A "Brats and Beer" event <br />was recently held at the Goebel Adult Community Center; the event was sold out <br />with 120 participants. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />No report. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl reported City and CRPD staff are continuing to meet regarding COSCA <br />operations, as well as reviewing the relationship/partnerships with the Teen Center, <br />Goebel Adult Community Center and the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, with an <br />emphasis on updating and extending the current agreements. These agreements <br />will eventually be brought to the City Council and CRPD Board for consideration and <br />
