Activity And Attendance Report -- April 2000 <br />Schrock referenced the document, and noted that, in comparison to last <br />years figures, the units of participation increased. <br />M. Staff Reports <br />Schrock referenced the documentation, reviewed past and upcoming <br />programs, supplied supplemental information, answered questions, reported <br />on the attendance of many of the events, reviewed the Senior Festival, and <br />noted that 81 participants attended the May 20 Thousand Oaks 50+ Dance <br />Club, and the Spring Concert on May 21 was cancelled due to lack of <br />support. He highlighted the upcoming Spring Ball on May 27, Dance Show <br />on June 1, and the Whizzing Around the World with Irma presentation on <br />June 16. He thanked Rosen and Fiorita for their assistance at the <br />Orientation for Newcomers on May 18, at which 10 participants were <br />welcomed. <br />6. ITEMS FOR SUBSEQUENT AGENDAS <br />7. Commission Concems <br />Regarding the Senior Festival, Bartholomay expressed disappointment with <br />the size of the table supplied for Commission use, and the inadequate <br />support demonstrated by commissioners. Schrock said that next year a full <br />sized table will be ensured, and the problem will be discussed at the <br />upcoming evaluation meeting. Doane stated his appreciation of <br />Bartholomay's efforts. <br />Boscia noted that Senior Concerns also had inadequate table space at the <br />Senior Festival, but said that the presumed lack of support by commissioners <br />could be caused by a multitude of unknown factors. <br />M <br />
