OWN& C3QMM4NQ @ L?IC3Q DN4MP4
GENERAL MANAGER BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Tex Ward Michael D. Berger, Chair
Joe Gibson, Vice Chair
Mark H. Jacobson, Director
George M. Lange, Director
Susan L. Holt, Director
T0: Board of Directors
FROM: Tex Ward, General Manager
DATE: July 19, 2000
SUBJECT: Adoption of 2000-2001 Budget
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended that the Board of Directors:
Adopt Resolution Number 072700-A approving the fiscal year 2000-2001
budgets for all funds, and policy matters contained in the body of this
memorandum.
2. Approve the combined City and District expenditure budget for COSCA in the
amount of $854,293.
BACKGROUND
On July 13, 2000, the proposed District General Fund Budget for fiscal year 2000-2001
was submitted to the Board for review and evaluation. This culminated in a public
hearing process that began on May 4, 2000, where public input was sought and
individual components of the total proposed District budget were presented. The
placement of the adoption of the Budget on this agenda is consistent with the budget
calendar -presented at the April 20, 2000 Board meeting.
MODIFICATIONS TO FINAL BUDGET
Since the start of the public hearing process and the presentation of the different
proposed budget segments by staff, several revisions to the fiscal spending plan have
been made. These revisions have occurred as staff carefully rechecked both revenue
and expenditure projections, and as staff continued research into revenue sources and
estimates, as well as expenditure needs and workload. This staff work has resulted in
the following modifications:
- Serving the Conejo Valley Since 1963 -
155 EAST WILBUR ROAD - THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORN A 91360 - WS) 495-6471 - FAX; (805) 497-3199 - E-MAIL: parks@crpd.org
