1. <br />4 <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />July 19, 2018 <br />7:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Holt called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm and Coleman led the flag salute. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Huffer, Lange <br />Directors Absent: Gibson, Jones <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrator Callis and Executive Assistant <br />Reynders <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Conejo Senior Volunteer Program <br />Julie Spivack, Director, CSVP, gave a history of the Goebel Cafe and the Senior Nutrition Program. <br />She shared demographic data about participants and statistics of the program. She also reviewed <br />the District's relationship with VCAAA (Ventura County Area Agency on Aging). A PowerPoint <br />presentation highlighted breakfast at the Goebel Cafe and its service-oriented environment, which <br />has given seniors a home away from home. <br />ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Alix Gabby, Newbury Park, expressed a desire to be a part of the OLA Ad Hoc committee that will <br />be formed as a result of the passing of Item 9A. <br />Laura Beth Heisen, President of Concerned Off Leash Areas (COLA) group requested that COLA <br />be represented on the OLA Ad Hoc Committee. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 3-0 to approve the agenda as <br />amended, i.e., move Item 9A ahead of Item(s) 8. <br />6.
