1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />6. <br />CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />June 21, 2018 <br />7:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Holt called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm and Lewanda led the flag salute. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: Gibson <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare and Lewanda and <br />Executive Assistant Reynders <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Chumash Indian Museum <br />Barbara Tejada, Chumash Indian Museum Board Chair, introduced Susan Kinkella, Vice <br />Chair and Beverly Folkes, Board member. Tejada provided an update on the museum, <br />including facility and equipment upgrades, programs, events, collaborations, community <br />outreach, and volunteer opportunities. She answered Board members' questions and was <br />thanked for her informative presentation. <br />ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Scott Buchanan, Recreation Supervisor, Hillcrest Center for the Arts, introduced a <br />performance of "Breathe" by Sarah Kay and the cast of "in the Heights", the Young Artists <br />Ensemble Summer Musical. <br />Elaine Boydston, Thousand Oaks, expressed appreciation for the staffs handling of her <br />concerns regarding the locked gate at the parking lot of the Conejo Creek Equestrian Park. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Jones, seconded by Huffer, and carried 4-0 to approve the agenda <br />as presented. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />A.
