DEFERRED MATTERS <br />8. ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION <br />9. NEW ITEMS <br />A. Amendment #1 to Memorandum of Understanding with Concerned Off -Road <br />Bicyclists Association (CORBA) for use of Bike Areas at Sapwi Trails <br />Community Park <br />Hare reported the District entered into an MOU with CORBA a year ago for use of <br />Sapwi Trails Community Park; this amendment is simply a one-year extension of the <br />current agreement. CORBA is a well -organized and passionate group looking to do <br />a large amount of fundraising for the development of bicycle- and trail -related <br />amenities at Sapwi Trails Community Park. <br />It was moved by Huffer, seconded by Lange, and carried 5-0 to authorize <br />General Manager to enter into Amendment #1 to Memorandum of <br />Understanding (MOU) with Concerned Off -Road Bicyclists Association <br />(CORBA). <br />B. Consideration of Resolution 041918-A Directing Preparation of the Engineer's <br />Report, Declaring Intention to Levy Assessments for 2018-19, Preliminarily <br />Approving Engineer's Report for Districtwide Park Maintenance and <br />Recreation Improvement District (62-1) and Providing for a Notice of Public <br />Hearing <br />Hare reported the proposed assessment for Assessment District 62-1 (Districtwide) <br />is changing from $36.07 per benefit unit to $37.15 per benefit unit based on a CPI <br />adjustment from prior year of 3.0%. <br />
