Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported a request for a bid is currently out for three projects (one bid): <br />improvements at Thousand Oaks Park, Borchard Park and Springmeadow Park. He <br />expects to bring bid results and a recommendation for the Board at the April 19t" meeting. <br />Yesterday, 10 or 11 proposals were received for design services for Conejo Creek <br />Southwest; they are under review. The current plan is to come back before the Board <br />on April 51h with a recommendation for a professional services agreement with a <br />landscape architect. <br />B. Recreation Division Report <br />Callis reported there is a lot going on in the next week or so; Program Registration began <br />last Friday and is going very well. The Flashlight Egg Hunt is scheduled for March 23rd, <br />a great turnout is expected. Family Fitness Fun Day will be at Waverly Park on Saturday, <br />March 24t". 34 people have signed up for the pickleball tournament on March 171h. The <br />Once in a Blue Moon Hike will be conducted through the Conejo Botanic Garden on <br />March 31St. Upcoming Safe Passage field trips include visits to Pepperdine University <br />and Los Robles Hospital. The Hillcrest Center for the Arts Family Magic Show is on <br />March 17th. A Middle School Golf tournament will be held on March 21 st at Westlake Gaff <br />Course. The Goebel Senior Center Commission applicant interviews are upcoming; <br />Director Jones will be attending. On March 22n11 there will be a Dos Vientos Community <br />get together; notification postcards were sent to 2000 residents, who were invited to <br />attend and provide input regarding desired future programming. <br />C. Management Services Division Report <br />Lewanda reported the scheduling of three upcoming demos to look at the possibility of <br />electronic timekeeping. <br />D. General Manager's Report <br />Friedl thanked Lange, as member of the Moorpark Watershed Parks <br />Recreation and Conservation Authority, for facilitating a meeting, to be held on Monday, <br />March 19th, between Authority representatives and District staff to discuss connecting <br />parkland and open space, specifically space along Moorpark Road that approaches the <br />Norwegian Grade. Friedl has been invited by a CLU professor to serve on a Sports <br />Management Advisory Panel on Thursday, May 22nd, Friedl will be out of the office from <br />March 24th thru March 315t; Hare will be acting GM during his absence. Callis has been <br />helping to coordinate necessary services, with participating agencies, for the Persian <br />
