Year -in -Review Memo <br />December 7, 2017 <br />Page 2 <br />Partnered with City of Thousand Oaks, COSCA, and CVUSD in entering into a four-year <br />contract for weed abatement services. <br />it Held staff luncheon meeting for CVUSD Elementary School Principals and ConejoRPD <br />Recreation Supervisors to improve connections & communications between CVUSD and <br />CRPD. <br />0 Approved alignment for City bikeway extension through Conejo Creek North Park, <br />® Expanded Safe Passages programs by working with City of Thousand Oaks and TO <br />Police Dept., TO Police Charitable Foundation, Play Conejo, Roadrunner Shuttle & <br />Limousine Service, CVUSD, CLU, Moorpark College, Rotary, Leadership Conejo, and <br />more. <br />* Completed playground upgrades at Walnut Grove Neighborhood Park. <br />Conducted Board Field Trip (in new van) to see various parks and facilities focusing on <br />turf conversions and capital projects. <br />Approved Draft Master Plan for Walnut Grove Equestrian (RideOn Therapeutic <br />Horsemanship). <br />Received executed grant agreement of $2.5 million from City of Thousand Oaks for <br />Sapwi Trails Community Park. <br />Applied for and received $1.76 million grant from Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy <br />under Prop. 1 for Sapwi Trails Community Park. <br />Received unqualified "i.e. clean" audit; reviewed Reserve Policy and updated reserve <br />fund balances. <br />Awarded bid for final phase of Rotary Dreamcatcher Playground at Old Meadows Center <br />and for kitchen upgrades. Completed project and held ribbon cutting with elected <br />representatives from State, County, City, CVUSD and ConejoRPD along with Rotarians <br />and Therapeutic Recreation supporters and program participants. This was a <br />community celebration for the completion of a project with over 600 different donors <br />spearheaded by the local Rotary Clubs and Play Conejo. <br />0 Created more informative and efficient format for Recreation Activity Reports. <br />
