Blum reported the committee will meet after today's general meeting <br />and will discuss developing a year -in -review ad featuring pictures of <br />the Commission events of 2017. He invited Commission members to <br />submit photos they may have to consider including in the ad. <br />J. Bus Trip Committee <br />1. Bus Trip Committee Meeting Minutes of September 11, 2017: <br />Martinich reported the committee met and discussed items but did not <br />have a quorum. She said the new bus trip catalogs are expected mid- <br />October; and described the new Bus Trip Escort Application process. <br />She noted that there was no need for the Commission to subsidize <br />any of the fiscal year 2016/2017 bus trips to prevent cancellation, <br />resulting in savings of $3,000 budgeted funds by the Commission. <br />7. Staff Reports <br />A. Attendance Reports August 2017 <br />McAdam referenced the documentation. He said the totals in the report are correct <br />with 15,904 in attendance at 742 meetings/events in the month of August. <br />B. Past & Upcoming Program Report <br />McAdam referenced documentation of past programs, and gave an update on <br />upcoming programs. He reported a sold -out attendance of 120 at the Sock Hop on <br />September 22. He also reported that 20 seniors took advantage of the Teens Teach <br />Tech program conducted September 23, and that it is being considered to conduct it <br />as a monthly program. <br />C. Trip Program Report <br />McAdam reported $2,004 revenue from five bus trips conducted in August. <br />Additionally, he gave an update of enrollment status of future trips. <br />a.
