Budget and Finance Committee <br />General Report -Committee Meeting Minutes of September 19, 2017: <br />Baumeister reported the August budget report and balance sheets <br />were reviewed; she said there was discussion at the meeting <br />regarding the Commission's assets and possible investment <br />opportunities with higher returns. She noted the committee will <br />present their findings and recommendations at the October monthly <br />meeting. <br />Smith commended the committee for their aggressive efforts in <br />support of the Commission's finances. <br />G. Bingo Committee <br />1. Bingo Committee Meeting Minutes of September 12, 2017: <br />Cleary reported the program review discussion was tabled to a future <br />meeting. She also reported that new software for the bingo cash <br />register is being considered and will be demonstrated to them this <br />coming Monday. She noted there will be no bingo October 13 due to <br />main hall floor refurbishment, but a Friday night bingo has been <br />added and will be conducted December 15. Regarding publicity, <br />Cleary stated that Fineroff has placed ads to reflect the revised bingo <br />schedule, and that he has also placed a no -cost ad in the Conejo <br />Valley Lifestyle Magazine regarding Friday, December 15. <br />2. Financial Report — August 2017: Cleary referenced the report of the <br />August Bingo figures: 1,727 patrons with an average of 124 per <br />meeting; the total gross register receipts were $27,641, with additional <br />register receipts of $4,385 from Friday Night Bingo; pull -tab receipts of <br />$28,192 for daytime play, with an additional $3,010 from Friday Night <br />Bingo, and $430 of food sales, for total gross revenue of $63,658. <br />Total Prizes/Payouts, $42,765 with a net revenue of $20,893. <br />H. Programs Committee <br />1. General Report -Committee Meeting Minutes of September 1, 2017: <br />Bengtson reported there were 230 in attendance at the September <br />Music Comes Alive and that it was very well-received as indicated by <br />the 110 audience survey results, as well as audience reactions at the <br />event itself. She also reported the next band featured will be country <br />music performed by Country Nation. <br />
