CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS SPECIAL MEETING <br />September 14, 2017 <br />7:00 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm, and Reynders led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Huffer, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Callis, Hare and Lewanda, <br />Administrative Assistant Dickson and Executive Assistant Reynders <br />Also Present: Mark Sellers, Esq. <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Imported Water Supply Update: Drought Recovery and Future Considerations, Eric Bergh, <br />Manager of Resources, Calleguas Municipal Water District <br />Bergh presented an update on the California drought and discussed history of water resources and <br />management. He discussed projected imported water rates, and past, present, and future water <br />supplies/reservoir conditions throughout the state. He also discussed river flood control diversion <br />and water management challenges. He explained current legislative efforts to control the use and <br />allocation of water. Lastly, he explained the benefits of the Governor's Tunnel Project to manage <br />water that flows through the Sacramento Delta. <br />Bergh field questions from the Board, which included water rates increases, progress of the Tunnel <br />Project, the impact of using reclaimed water, agreements with other local water districts, and the <br />status of Lake Cachuma. <br />The Board thanked Bergh for his presentation. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />None. <br />5. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />It was moved by Lange seconded by Holt and carried 5-0 to approve the agenda as <br />presented. <br />
