Triunfo Community Park Reclaimed Irrigation Water Project Proposed Modifications to Turf Reduction Plan Friedl reviewed the staff recommendations put before the Board this evening, and through the use of maps and charts, illustrated the data collected and compiled after meetings with concerned residents over the last two weeks. He reviewed the history of the District's turf conversion process, made necessary due to the drought and water conservation requirements, and specifically how Phases 1 through 3 were devised for Triunfo Community Park, which included public outreach and Board review and approval. Andrea McClellan, Simi Valley, and a Boy Scouts of America employee, expressed concerned about the continuation of Boy Scout activities at Triunfo Community Park due to the grass removal. Pete Elliott, Westlake Village, would like to see the District use an alternate irrigation system at Triunfo Community Park. Robb Buff, Apple Valley, spoke in favor of the use of "Aquajet" system at Triunfo Community Park. Marcus Jonsson, Westlake Village, expressed concern over turf removal at Triunfo Community Park Gary Asarch, Westlake Village, proposed using a subsurface irrigation system in the picnic area at Triunfo Community Park. Marty Moss, Westlake Village, would like less turf removed at Triunfo Community Park. Jeff Golden, Westlake Village, expressed concern with conversion to reclaimed water use at Triunfo Community Park. Brian Hill, Westlake Village, expressed concern over turf removal and loss of usable space at Triunfo Community Park. Linda Pore, Westlake Village, expressed concern over the turf conversion and is interested in exploring alternative ways to save water at Triunfo Community Park. Greg Riggs, Westlake Village, expressed concern over the strategy used regarding turf reduction decisions at Triunfo Community Park.
