Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Service Employees International Union <br />(SEIU) Local 721 <br />Lewanda reported the proposed MOU was reached through the regular meet and confer <br />process; the key provisions are delineated in the staff report. <br />It was moved by Holt, seconded by Jones and carried 4-0 to: <br />1. Approve Resolution Number 061617-B, approving the MOU between the <br />District and SEIU Local 721 and adjusting employee compensation and <br />benefits, as outlined, that it be read in title only and all further readings be <br />waived; and <br />2. Authorize budget adjustments as necessary to reflect changes <br />B. MRCA Preliminary Budget <br />Lewanda reported a final budget is currently under development and should come before <br />the CRPD Board about a month from now. This preliminary budget was approved by the <br />MRCA Board on June 7"'; it is being brought before the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park <br />District Board this evening will go before the SMMC Board on June 26P. <br />It was moved by Gibson, seconded by Holt, and carried 4-0 to approve the <br />Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) Preliminary Budget for <br />Fiscal Year 2017-18 as presented. <br />10. Parks Division Report <br />Hare reported the Futsal project will commence at Los Cerritos Middle School next week. <br />The City will begin removing and replacing selected outdoor staircases at Hillcrest Center <br />on June W'. The Picklebail Grand Opening last Saturday was a great success and well <br />attended; CLU defeated NPHS in the tournament. The District received a $1,000 donation <br />from the Conejo Ski Club and a $4,083 donation from pickleball enthusiasts toward <br />
