Holt, Vice Chair <br />Joe Gibson, Director <br />Ed Jones, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />Soccer Club for Futsal <br />Authorize General Manager to enter into Grant Agreement with Conejo Valley United Soccer Club <br />(CVUSC). <br />DISCUSSION <br />Conejo Valley United Soccer Club (CVUSC), a local not-for-profit program for youth soccer, has <br />served more than 15,000 youth in the community for more than thirty years, by operating its soccer <br />programs on the Thousand Oaks Community Park fields and other District properties. <br />Staff has been working with CVUSC and Conejo Valley Unified School District representatives <br />regarding construction and use of futsal courts at Los Cerritos Middle School; the Board approved <br />a facilities use agreement with CVUSD in July 2015 (see board report and agreement at <br />Y. <br />In April 2016, the District entered into a similar agreement with CVUSC, however, due to a large <br />increase in cost required by the contractor on the eve of construction, plans to develop the futsal <br />courts in the Summer of 2016 were put on hold. <br />Since that time, staff has continued to work with CVUSC and Conejo Valley Unified School District <br />representatives in order to provide improvements in the Summer of 2017.
