Holt, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />The Goebel Senior Center Commission has proposed several changes to their bylaws. <br />Pursuant to the bylaws, these proposed modifications were considered by the Commission at <br />their July 23, 2014 meeting; the Commission approved the proposed modifications and <br />submitted the them for CRPD Board approval at their September 4, meeting. Subsequently, <br />the CRPD Board of Directors did not give their approval of the revisions and asked for <br />clarification and the reinstatement of an inadvertently deleted paragraph which was Article VI, <br />section 3, Vacancies on the Board. The Commission Bylaws Ad Hoc Committee reviewed and <br />corrected the oversight and the stipulation is now contained in Article III, Section 4, Vacancies <br />on the Board. <br />In the interim, the GSCC Ad Hoc Bylaws Committee recommended to the Commission the <br />addition of two standing committees (Article VII, Sections 6 and 7, Publicity and Bus Trips) <br />which the Commission approved at their September 24, meeting. These modifications are also <br />being submitted for CRPD Board approval. <br />Further, the GSCC recommended deleting Article VIII, Section 2, Annual Meetings. The <br />Commission has a regular meeting each June and has no special business that can't be <br />completed at the regular meeting, so there is no need for an annual meeting. <br />Attached for your review is a copy of the revised proposed amended bylaws which have been <br />publically posted for the required thirty days.
