Holt, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />Approve the appointments of Steve Bonthius, Eric Herem and Vernon Grundstrom, and the <br />reappointment of Del Basilio, Mary Martinich and Steve Smith to the Goebel Senior Center <br />Commission. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Goebel Senior Center Commission is an elected body with up to 15 members, and <br />annually, in compliance with their bylaws, the Commission holds elections. There were six <br />seats up for election; five three-year terms, and one two-year as a result of mid-term member <br />resignation. <br />Three members whose terms are due to expire on June 30, 2014; Del Basilio, Mary Martinich <br />and Steve Smith applied for reappointment. In addition to the three incumbents who reapplied, <br />resumes or letters of application were received from nine applicants. Applications for those <br />nominated for Board appointment are attached. <br />In advance of the election, interviews were held with candidates by the Applicant Nominating <br />Committee made up of commissioners Jeff Blum (chair), Cynthia Bengtson, and Anna Colilles- <br />Fuentes, Director Jones and GSCC President, Jim Seerden also participated in the interview <br />process.
