Holt, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />DATE: April 17, 2014 <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Manag r <br />SUBJECT: Budget Adjustments for Fisccaa bear (FY) 2013-14 <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the FY 2013-14 budget adjustments delineated on Exhibit A. <br />DISCUSSION <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />A review of the FY 2013-14 budgets has been completed. The following adjustments are <br />recommended for the reasons noted. <br />General Fund <br />Recognize revenue from the District's Insurer, CAPRI, for replacement of the Thousand Oaks <br />Center gym floor ($99,600) and the pool heater at the Community Pool at CLU ($12,000). <br />Transfer $4,000 in appropriation from the Risk Management budget to cover the deductible <br />($2,000 for each event). Increase the Aquatics budget by $14,000, and return $101,600 to the <br />Operating Reserve, which was the initial source of funds for the gym floor repair. <br />Recognize grant revenue from California American Water and increase the Grounds <br />Maintenance budget in the amount of $25,000 for drought tolerant plantings at Wildflower <br />Playfield. <br />Transfer $6,000 from the Risk Management budget to the Outreach budget for workers' <br />compensation costs in excess of budget. <br />Transfer $12,000 in appropriations from the Hillcrest Center budget and $4,600 from the Data <br />Processing budget to various recreation centers (details attached) to adjust the budgets to <br />reflect a change in how actual telephone charges are allocated. <br />403 West Hillcrest Drive I Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-4223 <br />(805) 495-6471 FAX: (805) 497-3199 Email: parks@crpd.org <br />
