Holt, Director Chuck Huffer, Director GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS Tex Ward Approve Resolution 040314-A, adopting a preliminary budget for fiscal year 2014-2015, and authorize the General Manager to publish the notice of adoption. DISCUSSION The District is required to adopt a preliminary budget for next fiscal year. The preliminary budget submitted for Board consideration is the 2014-15 budget presented as the second year of the two-year budget approved on June 13, 2013. Using this budget as the preliminary budget meets the requirement of the law; however, staff intends to propose adjustments to this preliminary budget during the public hearing process to reflect changes to various assumptions since its preparation. This preliminary budget acts as a stimulus to begin the public hearing process. Public hearings on the budget will begin at the Board meeting of April 17, 2014 and will be continued at each subsequent Board meeting until the final budget is adopted on June 19, 2014 as currently scheduled.
