Holt, Director <br />Chuck Huffer, Director <br />GENERAL MANAGER EMERITUS <br />Tex Ward <br />TO: Board of Directors <br />FROM: Jim Friedl, General Manage <br />anag r�� <br />SUBJECT: Conejo Valley Days —2014 �Cnnual Agreement and Permit Conditions <br />Conejo Creek Park South <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Authorize General Manager to execute agreement with THE LUCY PET FOUNDATION (LUCY <br />PET) for the Conejo Valley Days (CVD) Agreement for 2014 and accept 2014 CVD Permit <br />Conditions. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In an effort to balance the impact of the significant financial investments on youth sports <br />improvements to the site with the overall community benefit of CVD, staff has communicated with <br />LUCY PET and CVD representatives to discuss the Annual Agreement and Permit for the 2014 <br />CVD. The goal of the communications was to provide a venue at a reasonable fee while <br />minimizing damage and down time at the site. <br />The 2014 agreement is substantially similar to previous years' agreements. <br />Highlights form the 2014 CVD Agreement and Permit: <br />• DISTRICT will enter into an agreement with LUCY PET; and as a condition precedent to <br />the effectiveness of the agreement, LUCY PET will enter into a contract with Frank Akrey, <br />• Exclusive use of Conejo Creek Park South from Monday, April 28, 2014 to 10:00 p.m., <br />Wednesday, May 7, 2014, <br />LUCY PET payment to District of $15,000, <br />• LUCY PET shall pay the DISTRICT an additional $1,500 for each day, or fraction <br />thereof, beyond 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, that the premises have not been <br />restored to as good a condition as when received by LUCY PET. <br />403 West Hillcrest Drive I Thousand Oaks, CA 91360-4223 <br />(805) 495-6471 FAX: (805) 497-3199 Email: parks@crpd.org <br />
