CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 19, 1996 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />GOEBEL SENIOR ADULT CENTER <br />M I N U T E S <br />1, CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Chair Gillette called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m., and <br />led the flag salute. <br />2• ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Berger, Gillette, Holt, Jacobsen, and <br />Lange <br />Directors Absent: None <br />Staff Present: General Manager Ward; Administrators Jorgensen, <br />Sorensen, and Washington; Recreation Manager Wiley, Recreation <br />Supervisor Gass, and Executive Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Acknowledgement Of Thousand Oaks Star As A Major Sponsor Of <br />1996 Summer Concerts - Julie Helm <br />Wiley reported that the 1996 summer concert series was a great <br />success, and the support received from community <br />organizations, including the Thousand Oaks Star, was <br />gratifying. He introduced Julie Helm, of the Star, and <br />thanked her for her support. <br />On behalf of the citizens of the community and Board, Gillette <br />presented a proclamation to Helm, recognizing and thanking the <br />publication for its sponsorship of the summer concert series. <br />Helm said that the paper is proud to be a concert sponsor. <br />Jacobsen and Gillette expressed their appreciation for the <br />Star's continuing commitment to the community. <br />Holt praised Wiley and his staff for their efforts. <br />
