CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />JULY 6, 2006 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Vice Chair Jacobsen called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m., and Lange led the <br />flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Jacobsen and Lange <br />Directors Absent: Berger, Gibson <br />Staff Present: Assistant General Manager Friedl, Administrators Benton and <br />Lewanda, Recreation Supervisor Lukes, Recreation Leader Council and Executive <br />Secretary Ohren <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Conejo Valley Historical Society Presentation <br />Chase Lichtenstein, President of Conejo Valley Historical Society, presented the <br />2005-06 Annual Report, and expressed appreciation to the Board of Directors and <br />staff for their support, especially Parks Superintendent Marchesano, Grounds <br />Worker II Welling, Assistant General Manager Friedl, and Director Holt. He <br />highlighted the Annual Report and said that a new organizational structure has <br />been implemented, and the organization's focus is on increasing attendance at the <br />Stagecoach Inn, improving displays and presentations, and developing a long <br />range plan for the site, which will, at a later date, be brought to the Board for <br />discussion and approval. <br />Board members congratulated and thanked Lichtenstein for his work and able <br />guidance. <br />Adult Basketball League Presentation <br />By means of a slide presentation and video, created by Council, Lukes highlighted <br />league activities featuring Eddie, Kaine and Jordan Lindgren, and noted that <br />there are 96 teams, 15 referees, nine scorekeepers, and three locations used by <br />
