1. <br />3. <br />CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 16, 2010 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Vice Chair Short called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M., and Lange led the flag salute. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Holt, Jacobsen, Lange, Short <br />Directors Absent: Gibson <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare and Lewanda, Recreation <br />Manager Lindsey, Parks Superintendent Kouba, Executive Assistant Ohren <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />Outdoor Unit Presentation — Recreation Supervisor Lori Olbrich and <br />Recreation Coordinator Kurt Gunning <br />Gunning provided information on Outdoor Unit staff and activities, including monthly and <br />specialty hikes, outdoor classes, and custom programs. He said that the Unit offered over <br />200 opportunities to go hiking, 2,500 hikers participated and custom hikes bring in an <br />average of $400 per hike. Lindsey, <br />Hare and Kouba provided an overview of each employee's professional and academic <br />achievements. On behalf of the Board and staff, Friedl presented awards to the honorees. <br />Honorees thanked co-workers, senior staff and the Board of Directors for their support, <br />and spoke of their pride and satisfaction in being part of Conejo Recreation and Park <br />District. <br />
