CONEJO RECREATION AND PARK DISTRICT <br />BOARD OF DIRECTORS REGULAR MEETING <br />July 19, 2012 <br />7:30 PM <br />HILLCREST CENTER <br />MINUTES <br />1. CALL TO ORDER AND FLAG SALUTE <br />Lange called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and Coleman led the flag salute. <br />2. ROLL CALL <br />Directors Present: Gibson, Holt, Jacobsen, Jones, Lange <br />Directors Absent: <br />Staff Present: General Manager Friedl, Administrators Hare, Lewanda and <br />Lindsey, Executive Assistant Reynders, Recreation & <br />Community Services Manager Coleman <br />3. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS <br />Conejo Valley Botanic Garden — Beverly Brune and Jean Reiley <br />Reiley, CVBG Vice President, introduced Brune, the Garden's president, who <br />presented an overview of the past year's activities. She emphasized the <br />importance of the many Garden volunteers and thanked the District for their <br />continued support. Board members congratulated Brune and Reiley on the <br />Garden's continued success. <br />Conejo Valley Historical Society Capital Campaign — Richard Williams <br />Williams presented renderings of a future Visitor's Center for the Stagecoach Inn <br />Museum site. The building ties in with the current Museum and Timber School. <br />Projected cost for the 750 square -foot building will be approximately $150,000. <br />Financing has not been secured; the CVHS Board is supportive of the project and <br />is looking at various funding options. <br />4. ITEMS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Chuck Huffer, Thousand Oaks, representing AYSO, invited Board members to <br />AYSO Region 9's opening day on Saturday, September 8th. The Snack Shack's <br />foundation has been laid and the walls will be going up soon. A grand opening will <br />
